Ch-ch-ch-ch-Changes (Bulldogs Alumni)

The transition between OHL seasons is an occurrence that Hamilton fans are experiencing for the first time with this organization. It’s a routine aspect of any sports organization which doesn’t receive much fanfare as it can be rather uncomfortable to say goodbye to familiar faces. September is a perfect opportunity to take time to respect the efforts these young men made over the past calendar year helping to establish the brand in a new city.

Look out you Rock’n’ rollers

There is going to be a bit of a learning curve for any Bulldogs fans who have carried over their alliance from the AHL team. The 2015-16 campaign was the first time in 19 years where fans could be almost certain to see the same roster players night in, night out. For all of the talk about how Hamilton had a young team last year, and how great it would be that there was only one player who couldn’t come back, we’ve still witnessed 11 young men depart from the team who were on the roster opening night in September 2015. Here is the first Hamilton Bulldogs alumni list:

  • D – Brody Morris (60-1-1-2)
  • RW – Joseph Mizzi (54-2-2-4)
  • C – Mitchell Mendonca (43-5-3-8)
  • C – Stephen Harper (37-17-24-41)
  • LW – Maurizio Colella (37-3-5-8)
  • LW – Mason Marchment (34-10-23-33)
  • LW – Jack Hidi (30-3-7-10)
  • G – Charlie Graham (28-3.32-.896)
  • RW – Evan Krassey (26-1-1-2)
  • D – Christian Mieritz (18-0-1-1)
  • RW – Jake Bricknell (16-3-1-4)

All the best to the players on this list. They’ll all have a unique anecdote to tell one day in the future, being able to explain they were one of the few OHL players to wear the Bulldogs red & blue silks.
